My name is David Courtney, an experienced and authorised Civil Marriage Celebrant. I specialise in weddings with a distinct Scottish air, and possibly I’m the only AUTHENTIC Scottish celebrant in the Sydney-Central Coast-Hunter locality of NSW.

YOUR wedding day is YOUR day and you want to ensure everything is just right. Your choice of Celebrant is critical. You want someone with personality, who can put you and your guests at ease and who can conduct a ceremony with a mixture of warmth and humour. After all, it’s a joyous occasion and you and your guests should be relaxed and happy. Smiles and laughter are compulsory!

From the moment I bid you and your guests Ceud Mile Failte (A hundred thousand welcomes) until closing the ceremony with a Gaelic or Celtic blessing, your ceremony will be totally unique and be remembered for all of the right reasons.

Naturally, I’ll be in full Scottish highland dress, or if it’s a more casual gathering, a traditional highlander shirt. And if you want to hear the pipes playing, I can recommend some quality pipers. You may, however, prefer the beautiful sound of the Celtic harp, in which case I’d recommend my wife, Linda (www.celticharper.com.au). We do offer a discount if we’re both booked for your wedding!

Unlike the majority of Celebrants, my fee is totally transparent and up front (see the “fees” link above) and includes your marriage being registered with Births Death & Marriages in your State.
